Vicki Michela Garlock is founder of Faith Seeker Kids and the Curriculum Specialist for Jubilee! Community Church in Asheville, North Carolina. She has developed a Bible-based, interfaith Sunday School curriculum for kids from preschool to Grade 8 and regularly posts faith/interfaith-related blogs and comments on Twitter, @faithseekerkids.
She earned her undergraduate psychology degree from Brown University and received a Ph.D. from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with dual specialties in neuroscience and cognitive development. She spent 11 years as a professor at Warren Wilson College, teaching a variety of courses related to child development, biopsychology, and learning/cognition. She is co-author of A Precious Window of Time: A Manual for Teaching and Nurturing Middle School Girls (2008). Vicki loves thinking and hearing about various faith/interfaith approaches for kids and finds TIO a great resource for ideas. She lives in Asheville, North Carolina with her husband and two kids.
