Sofia Sayabalian

Sofia Sayabalian (she/her) is a graduate student at the University of Washington working toward a Master of Communication in Digital Media (MCDM) degree. She received her B.A. in Communication and Media with a minor in Psychology from Seattle University.

Sofia is a young creative who has a passion for the intersection between web and communications, specifically targeting thoughtful and user-friendly website design. At her time at Seattle University, she worked closely with their radio station, KXSU, as their Digital Media Director for two years. Sofia identifies herself as spiritual, as she comes from an Armenian background that is historically and culturally rooted in Christianity. Aside from that, Sofia has taken a course on Mindfulness at Seattle University, where she first got to explore the tenets of Buddhist teaching which sparked her curiosity in the realm of Buddhism. Additionally, various philosophy courses at Seattle U enhanced her interest and have expanded her knowledge on the convergence between spirituality, philosophy, and life.
