Joseph Dyer

Joseph has served as Executive Coordinator in Seattle University’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) since December 2025. Before joining Seattle University, they first arrived in Seattle to study at the University of Washington where they double majored in Marketing & Psychology; developing their passion for a human-centered approach to their work. After graduating, they spent the early part of their career working for lululemon supporting their IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Action) team. They are passionate about leading with a lens of reflection, collaboration, and empathy. According to Joseph, one of the best ways to show up in DEI work is to maintain a high level of introspection and questioning of how we all can improve. So far, they have been proud to advance ODI’s Red Talks speaker series, Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration, and the reporting of the office’s collective work through the 2026 ODI Annual Report. They also look forward to bringing a successful 2027 Racial Equity Summit to the campus community in the spring of 2027. Joseph is excited to continue flexing their inclusive & equitable design skills to work further the goals of ODI and serve Seattle U's student, staff, and faculty populations.
